Red Vein Haunted House is located in Ashland, VA at Hanover Vegetable Farm, a very busy venue with a pumpkin patch, vendors, food, and more! Red Vein Haunted House is nestled at the back of the property, with a ticket check In even before you get to the haunt itself. You'll walk a long path through the corn, lit with vintage jack-o-lanterns. At the end, Red Vein displays its beautiful sign beside a very vintage hearse at the entrance way to the haunt itself. Once you get to this point, you'll be blown away by their setup! It's absolutely something you'd see out of a Hollywood horror movie set!
Entrance setup/midway:
Red Vein brings a new look to haunts in today's haunt world. They have a very cool entrance with cool photo ops and a bus out front of the entrance. Our favorite part was the theme soundtrack they had playing at the front; it was so new to us, and we never really hear this type of music played at haunts, so it was very refreshing to us. We knew we were in for a treat with this one! Rating for entrance/setup and midway: 5.5
Management:
Upon arrival, the haunt was very easy to get a hold of. We were very humbled and felt so awesome that they were so accommodating to us. It meant the world, and even throughout the night, they would check up on us. We felt so welcomed from the beginning to the end of the night. Very professional how they run this haunt. Very well-established cast and managers always within arm's reach. Thank you, Ryan and Kitty, you guys rock! Rating for management 5.5
Scenes and Sets:
As we mentioned before, we knew we were in for a treat with this one. And we were right! Red Vein packs quite the details; you can tell they have put a massive amount of work into this haunt. Every corner, hallway, and space was covered in mind-boggling detail. They lean more towards the grotesque details - guts, eyeballs, hearts, blood, rotten roadkill - the list goes on and on! Wow, it was awesome to take it all in from start to finish. Very impressive for a 10-year haunt! Rating for scenes and sets: 5.5
Actors and placement:
It was all spot on; each scare actor was placed so well throughout the entire haunt/experience. There wasn't a single corner or spot not covered by someone or something popping out at us. They brought the scares. This haunt is very intense! It will make your skin crawl and have you wondering what's next and what's lurking around the corner. If you're coming to get scared, they will deliver! They got us several times throughout our adventure through the elaborate houses. Rating for Actor and placement: 5.5
Lighting placement:
Each set/scene had the right amount of light in it; they have an array of beautiful props to show off, and these lights show just how beautiful these props are under the set lights they have throughout the haunt. If you're a sucker for lights and displays, they have it all! As we mentioned before, they have put a lot of work into this haunt, and it shows! Rating for lighting placement: 5.5
Costuming and wardrobe:
They spare no expense on their costuming and wardrobe; some of these costumes are very detailed and stood out very well under low visibility throughout the haunt. The makeup was absolutely top-notch, definitely what you'd see on a Hollywood movie set. These guys don't play around; they're very top-tier in all aspects of it and the production that goes into it. Rating for costuming and wardrobe: 5.5
Crowd control:
They are very well-equipped with the right stuff when it comes to maintaining a large crowd, especially for a Sunday night. We were very impressed by the flow of customers pouring from the walkway entrance. The Q line is very well maintained and spaced out. It helps that they do timed ticketing for their groups. Very impressive setup. We absolutely loved it. Rating for crowd control: 5.5
Attractions:
Red Vein consists of four elaborate houses.
Asylum:
has evil nurses, bodies being operated on, and gruesome details that would make anyone's stomach turn; it's that good! 5.5
Corn:
a corn field filled with lots of scares and elaborate sets, including a church, man-sized bat, scarecrows, and much more. You'd have to go see it all! There's so much to take in and see. Rating 5.5
Woods:
The woods are filled with chainsaw-wielding, backwoods hillbillies. Complete with an old, rundown camper, an old house, a clown circus area with a maze, and all kinds of different clowns running around. Rating 5.5
House:
A house full of all kinds of different scares. They have a very big cemetery before you get in, but the cemetery itself is a beautiful area. The house is the longest and has the most detail throughout the entire haunt. This is where you're going to meet the family. Emily awaits you. She is not easy to get to, but it is worth it to see the woman behind all the chaos. You will go through many themed rooms, caves, tombs, and much more! So what are you waiting for? Emily awaits your blood donation! 🅱️💉5.5

Overall Haunt Rating:
We were very impressed with this haunt; there's not a single thing they could do to make it any better than it is. It's just an amazing show, simply put. We will be back to Red Vein Haunted House in the near future. Do yourself a favor and get out to this haunt; you will not be disappointed. They exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the Red Vein Crew. Overall Haunt Rating 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
